Some Kind of Fruit

About a week ago, dad's friend came back from Vietnam and bought us some kind of snack. Its like dried up or deep fried fruits. No idea but it tastes not too bad...

I was eating it and trying to figure out what fruits are in there at the same time. There were obviously bananas, nangka and pineapples. But then there were these long potato-like thingy. So I decided to read behind the package to see what is it.

What I saw shocked me...

So till today, I have no idea what the other fruits are. Tastes normal. Ate it anyway...

Went for a haircut today. Yes, again. Venturing different kind of hairstyles and all of them seem to be getting shorter and shorter each time.

So there you go! I wanted it short all the way for one side but then for TV purposes, I decided not to. I like it! Shall keep this hairstyle from now on... :)

A New Year

Now that Christmas is over, the New Year seems to be approaching fast. 4 more days and it will be the year 2012.

So let's see what happened in 2011!

1. Final year studying
You know, it seems like only yesterday I where everyone was being new in class and making new friends. The class that was so quiet we can hear ants walking. After 4 years, some graduated, some still studying but all in all, we made great friends and had great memories.

2. Getting wasted
The only way to celebrate your 21st. Getting wasted. It was my first total blackout of the night. I actually did learn a lesson because of the god awful hangover I had the very next day. I was STILL puking the whole of the next day even when there is nothing more to puke out. Twenty-one, a birthday I will always remember.

3. Wedding
This will always be the year that my sister got married! November 26. Remember that. Its the first wedding ceremony of the family. Was a busy day and some things did not go as plan but we had a blast and welcomed Colin to the family.

4. Island Retreat
Going to Perhentian was an awesome experience. White sand and crystal clear waters. I would love to go back there someday.

5. Getting robbed
I'm not even going to talk about it. It'll just get me pissed off.

6. Twenty-ones
Its is the year where most of our friends turn 21! Of course, my mission was to get the birthday girl wasted. Most of them were success stories. I bet it is a birthday that they will never forget. Wait a minute, they don't even remember it to begin with. I guess I will have great stories for my future grand kids.
"You know? When Grandma was at your age, I use to get everyone drunk for their 21st birthday."
I guess those the the significant events which happened in the year 2011. I'm going to miss the year. We had so much fun!

The year 2012. The year where I'll most probably start working. The year where I'll be in a reality show. Since 21 is now over, its time to start thinking about what to do for 22! More partying!

And since New Years is around the corner, here are some resolutions I will TRY to keep.

1. Swear less. My friends laughed at me when I told them this.
2. Drink less. They laughed ever harder for this
3. Drive more. Getting a car soon, hopefully.
4. Love my job. Well, TRY...
5. More concerts!

That's all I can think about at the moment. Its going to be a fun year next year. Make more friends, do more shit.

Stuffed

The night before Christmas. It is also a birthday of a friend. You know who you are! Being all girls, it was decided that we are to have a sleepover and get wasted.

Mission failed. The fact that we were all girls made it like a therapy session. It was nevertheless fun! Had a session of Ring of Fire. I being the extremely unlucky end up screwing up myself by setting the rule that Jia Huey has to drink when everyone else drinks and I forgot that she "dated" me. Fucking drinking like a fish.

PLUS, I keep getting the card that makes me drink AND I don't get the one that allows the toilet break. My bladder was like it was going to burst. Now, that's an interesting scenario.

Learnt that we shouldn't eat Chili Pan Mee for lunch when you're going to be drinking that night. Doesn't really sit well.

Woke up today, went for Christmas lunch at my sister's place. The long awaited Turkey has come. Damn, I ate so much that it actually hurts to move. Instead of the provided gravy, I was eating Turkey with curry. Typical Malaysian. We mix everything together.

That, my dear friends, was breakfast, lunch and dinner in one meal.

That, ladies and gentleman, is Christmas.

Merry Christmas!! :)

Santa vs Jesus

The day where Santa is more famous than Jesus even though it is Jesus' birthday. The ONLY day in the year where I can get some Turkey in my belly.

Today, I was being bored. Nothing new. At home and finally got sick of watching shows. So I decided to record something. I'm not the best singer but I believe that I don't sound that bad. Curiosity. I'm sure I'm not the only person in the world who records your own singing right? Its fun but weird to listen to yourself singing...

Anyways, one of my favourite Christmas songs. Why? Because it is one of the happy ones. Silent Night is depressing. We Wish You A Merry Christmas is overrated. I like Jingle Bell Rock because its happy! And jolly! Makes you get into that Christmas spirit!

http://soundcloud.com/bluebluebells/jingle-bell-rock

Since I have do not own those special software which you can edit and add instruments, I had to record it acapella. Yea, I know. Only good singers should record acapella.

BUT its the thought that counts. I did this for my lovely friends as well as everyone out there who's feeling nasty during Christmas, chin up!

Have an awesome Christmas!

TV?

Could hardly believe it when I got the SMS from an unknown number telling me that I was selected as one of the top 8 candidates for 8TV's The Job.

There were some mixed feelings. I was happy, obviously since I was made it through, but then there is also fear. Damn, what if I do something extremely dumb?

Also there is the drama crap in reality shows. Hopefully I don't get involve in them.

So I guess tomorrow I'll have to go over to Sunway and enquire on whether the sponsorship will still be available if I do it in the July intake. If not, honestly, I don't mind since I'll just get the external auditor job and its about the same.

That is if I don't win. I highly doubt that I will be the best among the best. I'm just going for the exposure and experiences that I will gather through all of those challenges. Perhaps meet new people, get some networking going on.

This is going to be really interesting no? Always wanted some kinda adventure in life. Well, looks like I'm getting it~!

Why are there so many choices??

Ok. So yesterday I went for an interview for a reality show. Think The Apprentice I know what you're thinking. You think I'm mad BUT the prizes is pretty awesome! The winner gets a post-graduate scholarship, 12-month contract with Segi Corporate as well as RM15000 cash. I mean why not right? So, I went for it...

Then today I went for a briefing. KPMG is offering a sponsorship programme for Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). All paid for and I get a job with KPMG. The thing is that I will have to work AND study at the same time. Which means that I will be having no life at all for the next one year.

I actually prefer the CIA thingy because I don't really want the post-graduate scholarship. I don't really want to do a Masters and I doubt the Segi scholarship will sponsor me to do CIA at Sunway.

Then again, I would love to go through all the challenges line up for the final 8 contestants. It is a REALLY good opportunity as they get to try out many things such as marketing, branding, etc.

So, I guess it all boils down to whether or not I get chosen as one of the 8 finalist for The Job. If I do then I guess I'll start the KPMG scheme in July (assuming that I didn't win the prize). If I do win, which I highly doubt it, then its even a greater dilemma in which I will think about only later...

If I don't get into the final 8, then I will take up the KPMG scheme in January. Even so, there will be the dilemma of the ACCA results which will be out in February. If I pass the paper, then YAY! If (touchwood) it is the other way around, then I will have to deal with work, CIA AND also the resit of P7.

Will I be able to handle that? It is a lot but then CIA there is only 2, 100 multiple choice question based paper.

In the end I'm still stuck. This isn't even a crossroad man. Its like a roundabout with a million exits. Praying that KPMG scheme is available in July, praying that I get The Job but not win and if I do win, praying that they'll sponsor me for CIA and not masters, praying that I will pass my ACCA paper.

Home entertainment

Nothing like a day where all you do is stay home, have some Chipsmore (with milk, bitches!) and watching Friends all day long.

Lifeless but nevertheless entertained... :)

Bits and Pieces

I realise that I haven't been blogging as usual as I should. The random thoughts in my head are clogging up my system and causing a slight lag in rationale stuff.

Its feels totally great finally finishing my study. Damn, now that I've just put that into words its kinda just hit me in the face - I'll be a working adult soon! I'll be soon out in the corporate world dealing with internal politics and relationship craps. I'm going to miss studying.

Actually, I'm going to miss student life. Obviously, why in the world would I miss studying? I never mastered the proper studying way and things just don't stick in my head for more than a week. I'm kinda glad that I don't have to be studying anymore but I AM going to miss the lifestyle. No deadlines, no results to worry, no assignments (for my case), classes are not compulsory and I can skip internal exams. Heck, the only time I actually get serious is approximately 1 or 2 months before the finals where I attempt to start studying early but fails miserably.

So technically, I'm free the entire 6 months except for the final month or so. Sounds awesome? Well, the bulk of ACCA will kill you if you can't handle it. That's a fact. I make it look simple but most of the time I barely just manage. I am glad for my insanely good crapping skills that got me through most of my papers...

But now, all that is coming to an end. Four years has just past and it seems to have past by incredibly fast!

I am suppose to be applying for jobs and all but then I think I do deserve a nice long break. After all, we only get around 2 weeks of holidays each semester. Use to envy those who have 3 months of holidays. Now, I'm gonna get that well-deserved 3 months of no studies.

Nothing in the world will be able to bother me other than my annoying dreams about my audit paper. Audit man. Haunts you even afterwards. Don't have to worry about results till probably February! :)

I guess I should just stop thinking, get a job to occupy my brain works and just enjoy this 3 months freedom...

Mom's always best

So today, I went to the hospital with my mom. We left in a hurry because it was raining cats and dogs.

Just a moment ago, my mom realised that she left her file with all the medical document at the pharmacy which should be closed already at that time.

Nevertheless, we took a ride there just to peek in the windows to see whether the file is in there. There wasn't.

Went to the security room and there was this sign on the outside that says, "Personnels Only. Flash Name tag before entering"

I asked my mom to knock on the door she replied me, "You go knock la! They see you're a pretty girl sure help you find stuff".

My mom just exploited me! Omg. But then she said that I was pretty. Then, all the vanity and pride took over and somehow the exploitation was pushed aside.

Shit! I think my mom's a psychology expert! *gasp*

Pissed beyond pissed

In my previous post, I think I did mention that my mom was going for her cataract surgery today.

The lady at the office told my mom to start fasting at 2pm and be at the hospital for registration at 4pm because the surgery will be at 6pm.

Thinking that it was only a 2 hours wait, mom and I decided that, ok, go earlier a bit because we were carrying like cash (no, we don't believe in credit cards) and she wants to go collect her other medications as well.

Fine, reached at the office at 3.30pm, registered and stuff, 4pm.

Waited, waited, waited.

In the waiting room, I actually watched 4 movies on Star World. Yeah. FOUR FUCKING MOVIES and the first 3 being like silent movies because all the other aunties that were also going for the operation were talking too loudly for me to listen. I think I've managed to master the art of reading the lips.......

Waited, waited, waited....

..and finally at 10.00pm, the nurse came in and we can go to the holding room. Half an hour later my mom was pushed into the operation theater and half an hour later she's out.

So technically, we wasted 6 unnecessary fucking hours sitting there like fucking idiots waiting for the fucking doctor who can't manage her fucking appointments!

Seriously! She told everyone that their operation will be at 6pm. I think her studying to become a doctor has impaired her bloody common sense to know that 9 motherfucking surgeries can't be done at the fucking same time!!!!

ARGH!! So pissed till I feel like my head is gonna blow. GAH! Idiot.

Oh wait, there's more! I didn't mention where this was did I? University Fucking Hospital Specialist Centre.

Special my ass! Its not like you were subsidised by the government. We paid the market price! RM3100 for one bloody eye lens! ONE SIDE! And we get service like this? Come on!! We could have paid like RM200 or so, wait for 6 exact bloody hours at the government hospital and get the SAME bloody surgery.

ARGH!!!! >:[

So sweet I'll get diabetes!

Yes! It is once again the time where the sweet freedom can finally be tasted. This time it is even sweeter as I had just finished my final (praying with my life that its final) paper at exactly 6.15pm.

I literally have not signed in to Skype as well as MSN for a long, long time in preparation for this stupid audit paper.

AND OH. MY. GOD.

This freedom is soooo goooooooood! Its like the weight of the world on my shoulder has been lifted off! :D

But then again, its my first night of this new found freedom and I am already confused. I have so much time now that I don't know what to do with it!

I should probably get a part time job since I don't intend to start working anytime soon. But then there is this thing offered by KPMG in which I intend to attend the briefing for then decide.

And another thing is that my mom will be going for cataract surgery tomorrow. There goes my mode of transportation and freedom for a week. I guess its not too bad. At least I don't have to study ever again!!

OK! So the bottom line is get a part time job so that you have cash to party and attend concerts, stupid ding-dong! Foster the People! Simple Plan! Dashboard Confessional! So much to do, so little moolah~

:/

So much to do, so little time...

Juggling between studies and a wedding..

Its like all of a sudden the ample time that I had to study for my exams just shrank into nothing. My P7 notes are just lying there and being shoved under the bed. Shoots...

After the wedding I'll only have exactly one week to cram 6 years of past year questions into my head. Praying that my crapping skills will come in handy during the exam. Audit has always been a real pain where something that may seem like common sense actually doesn't really get you the marks.

Its the last paper and I really, really want to pass this stupid paper. Just one more and I will be done with the hell of ACCA exams. ONE MORE and I will be entering into the working life...

One more...

Security, my ass...

You know how some housing area has those security shit where you have to pay money for the idiot guards to patrol around? They are useless as fuck.

Lest night, approximately 11.30pm, my mom asked me to go downstairs to put some leftover food into the fridge. I went down and realised the lights outside at the back of off. So I though my dad forgot to turn it on. I opened the wooden door an realised that the gate was wide opened and so was the windows and some of the stuff were misplaced.

Went up told my mom. She went down and look around noticed that her purse zips were all opened and money was gone. Woke up my dad. Scout around. Called the guard.

The dude turned up with his huge flashy flash lights and shine it around asking what happened, etc. Told him the entire story and then he just hanged around! Like shine the lights here and there "examining" the "crime scene". Then he said, "Boss you punya dinding rendah la. Itu pasal orang boleh masuk".

At that point, I got so pissed at the dude that I literally chuckled to myself. Motherfucking wall was taller than I was dude and more importantly taller than YOU! Hard solid wall ok! Neighbours all have wired fences and you say our wall was too low??? Useless git.

I was more pissed with the guard than I was with the thief. We pay RM30 every month to get robbed? Told my dad from the start it was a waste of money. Now he is convinced. Stayed here 3 years, that would be over a thousand ringgit paid. Might as well invest in an alarm system right from the beginning right?

Dad always told the boss to tell the patrol guys to patrol the back lane. What's the point of patrolling the front?? Have you seen thieves coming from the front gate? Come on! They're not that dumb man!

Now, I am also pissed with the bloody thief because he used my NEW shirt to cover the cactus when he climbed up to twist the pendaflour lights. Bloody idiot. Caused me my sleep last night. May the money you took from my mom's purse be your medical fees some day along your life.

And what I wish usually comes true...

Chocolate Frenzy!

Why, it is once again the time when I get so bored and I start finding things to do.

Today it was Moist Chocolate Cake Day!

Started out preparing all the ingredients. Reading through the recipe it was mentioned that I needed to beat the egg whites separately. There I was thinking that if I beat the other ingredients already, don't I have to was the beater to beat the egg whites? So the extremely lazy me decided to HAND beat the eggs with a freaking FORK.

Stupid, I know, but then it turned out fluffy and shiny anyway (with a good exercise too!)

Then there I go, mixing in everything and finally into the tray it goes. At that point I realised that the tray was too big. Horrible judgement. So the batter was barely an inch from the bottom. I have an extremely flat cake! :(

Anyways, waited for the cake to be done and damn it smells incredible! Took it out and realised that it was rather dry.

Soon I found out the culprit. The recipe stated that I was suppose to be using dark chocolate, grated. Instead, I used cocoa powder, which I think is dryer and more bitter because a chocolate bar will have oil in it. Dumbass...

So since the MOIST chocolate cake is no longer moist (I think its more of a crumble now), I added a nice scoop of cookies and cream ice cream onto it to give it some moisture and sweetness.

Hell yeah! It taste even awesomer after that. ;)

So the cake shall be my dinner for today! :)

Bits and Pieces

KL for 3 days and all I get is approximately 3 hours of sleep. I hate the fact that alcohol works like caffeine for me. Bloody shit was awake till almost sunrise and when I finally can sleep, I am suppose to be up.

Dang! Nevetheless, it was awesome being on Team Sober and witnessing all the fucking funny things happens.

Time to burn those beer calories... after October... :)

Tuesday would be the last day of classes EVER! If I graduate, this class would be the last time I will ever sit in the class for a lecture! Well, not including the revision classes.

4 years! Just flew pass just like that. I can't wait till I am done with exams and then p-p-p-party till I get a permanent job. Or maybe I'll just continue the party... ;)

Tang Yuans

I am currently one of the most laid back university student ever on the face of the earth! This week, I don't have a single class and instead of rotting at home, I finally finished making my sister's wedding favour bags. They have been lying there since like forever...

Then I got bored again. That only kept me occupied for one night. So I've decided to make a trial batch of Tang Yuans! It is a custom to have them the night before the wedding. The plain ones are so boring. Thus, I decided to make the colourful ones. Started with orange.

I went searching online and found out that all I needed to to was to add in sweet potato into the flour.

Therefore,

Success! :D

Tastes yummy! Started off with the plain ones but then they were too tasteless. Added in gula melaka into some. Then I ran out of gula melaka and finally stuffed the leftover sweet potatoes in the final few.

Not too bad, really! Since originally the Tang Yuans are tasteless, adding anything else into it just makes the entire thing tastes like the stuffing.

Happy with them! Shall be making green ones soon! :D

Clear waters, blue skies.

Nothing else can beat the clear blue waters of Perhentian Island. Just imagine. Waist deep water and you could still see the bottom of the seabed. It is AMAZING!

Its such a shame that I don't have the underwater casing for my camera or else I would have taken some breath taking underwater sceneries.

Our journey began on Friday morning when I had to wake up at 6.15am just to get ready. Hoping that I will wake up early so that I don't get caught in the last minute i'm-rushing-so-I-forgot-something situation. In the end I still did forget my brush and the salt water here is killing my hair!

Let us move away from the bimbotic statement that I just made. We took an early flight to Kota Baru which was supposed to be an hour but somehow it seems shorter but it was actually delayed. Get it? Anyways, we arrived at the extremely quiet Kota Baru airport, took an hour van ride to Besut where we took a speedboat to the beautiful paradise island.

It was amazing to see the colour of the water change from a murky green-brown to blue.
After approximately half an hour with wind literally smacking you in the face, we see our stop! Watercolours resort. Our first reaction was, "Omg, we can ACTUALLY see the bottom of the water!!"

Checked in and immediately got to enjoy our first snorkelling trip. Damn it is such a waste that I can't take the underwater pictures with my camera. The underwater scenery was, as I've mentioned, amazing! Visibility wasn't as great because it was cloudy but it was still soooooo pretty! Even when we were in the boat waiting to enter the waters, we could see the bottom and the fishies!!

Fucking amazing I tell you.

By the time we were done, it was already around 5-ish. Took a shower and went for an evening stroll along the beach.

There was actually nothing else to do other than wait for dinner. Dad caught up with some of his friend who were here diving. Chatted throughout the night killing time. Went to bed rather early. Well, attempted to go to bed rather early. Stupid pillow was a rock compared to the awesome feathered pillow I have at home. Yes, I AM a spoilt brat. Instead of the pillow, I ended up sleeping on my jacket instead.

Woke up early morning the very next day and gotten ready for the hiking trip that we were notified the previous night. I guess they planed it for us to kill time since there was nothing else to do there in the morning and we were only entitled to 2 snorkelling trips for the entire trip.

Proud of my 59 years old mom who does not do any physical activities! She made it to the top! Complaining the entire way. I got lobsterised. My term for being sunburnt. The huge amount of sunblock that I had applied, I guess, was washed off by the sweat. BUT, the view up there - speechless...

I found out that the island runs on solar AND wind energy! We were at the wind turbine! I love the picture I took because the sky looked pretty too!

And the view from up there...

Priceless. Worth all the hard work getting up there. There was suppose to be some stairs leading up to the turbines but the jetty collapsed. Thus, we had to take the hike.

Went back to the chalet, lunch, rest and off we are again for our 2nd snorkelling trip. Got burnt on the burn this time but damn, it was worth it. The view was splendid! Saw a baby sharks swimming.

Got back rather late in the evening. Dad and I went for a stroll again to the other beach. Of course, as expected, more photos! :D

On the way back, there was a pretty cloud that looked like a mushroom cloud and little did we know that in the last hours of that night itself, it rained like there was no tomorrow!

About half an hour after the photo was taken, it was sunset. I was hoping to get a nice picture but the sunset was sadly blocked by Pulau Kecil. I bet it was just amazing but we did get a pretty sight too! Didn't manage to get a nice picture. It was a you-have-to-be-there-to-be-amazed moment.

Purple sky to end the day...

The next morning, my dad and I took the canoe and rowed along the beach. Even without entering the water, we were able to see the beauty beneath the surface. We only explored for a short while before we went back. Dad's friends joined us for a one last stroll along the beach. Took some last minute photos.

Then we returned to pack up and check out. Chilled at the restaurant while waiting for our ride back to the mainland...

See? Aren't I the best person ever? I go on a trip taking all the pictures, enduring the sunburn and you guys get to see them too! :)

Nevertheless, the name Perhentian was perfect for the place - a place where you stop and just relax.

Coffeholic

As usual, I am bored at home and decided to blog about one of the things that I can never live without...

Yes, A good cup of coffee and some nice music.

All of a sudden I feel extremely old but who can resist a nice cup of coffee while blasting sounds from the best bands in the world on iTunes? So I'm not that old afterall... :)

The Nescafe I make is my own recipe. For some reason it tastes different each time. Noone's perfect. However, it tastes awesome every single fucking time. Even my mom who doesn't drink Nescafe thinks its good (I have great influential skills *winks*)

I can't believe that I am here bragging about the coffee I make. Huh. Pretty lifeless, no? That I can absolutely agree. See, if I had a life, I wouldn't be here writing this shit while waiting for Sims to refill energy. Fuck that addictive game on Facebook....

I am currently running on caffeine. Alone at home. Listening to White Stripes. Dancing around (more like jumping around). Worrying about absolutely nothing. Trying to sing like Jack White while hitting the air with invisible drumsticks like Meg White.

Ahhh, ain't my life the best?

21+30

This post was suppose to be for last week but SOMEONE took ages to upload the pictures for me to use.

It my sister's 30th and final birthday where she will be celebrating it being not married. We decided to fill our tummies at Bubba Gumps at The Curve.

Colin, Christine, Sis, Me, Melvin

I shall spare you all from the pictures of the food since there are people fasting but we did enjoy our food and we could hardly move after that.

My cousin got some cupcakes and flowers for my sis and I. So sweet of him. :)

Then we moved our asses to Funky Villa.

Well, started out with a couple of beers.

Till someone (i.e my brother) arrived and somehow so did these.......

Those were just welcome drinks. There were like 24 of them. No idea what happened to them.

Then the killer came. The dices. Somehow THIS happened...

According to sources I had 5 tequila shots, 3 double shots and 3 bottles of beer, all in 2 hours. I actually only remembered half the night.

But as the night went on as these weird things started to happen....

Finally Christine and my cousin, Melvin started looking up to the skies in search of UFOs and I started to worship the God of Alcohol.

Overall, I remembered puking a lot and asking my brother, "since when you drove a BMW?"

All because of these little innocent looking dices...

Change is good!

Hey! As you can see there is a new layout as well as a new name!

The name was being inspired by 30 Seconds To Mars - Search & Destroy

I really like this line! Plus, they are my current obsession. Can't seem to shake of the invasion from Mars. I don't think I want to.

:)

Being Malaysian

Admit it. We Malaysian abso-fucking-lutely LOVE our food. I think if we could get married with food most of us will.

I have the privilege of staying where there is a Bazaar Ramadan literally just round the corner. It not the "round the corner" crap you tell people when you are like the other side of town rushing to meet them. It honestly is just less than a 5 mins walk there.

I am not gonna post pictures because this stupid post will end up being posted at god knows what time of the day on Facebook and I have the consideration of not making my friends who are fasting hungry.

But then again, I'm already talking about food. I shall take some nice pictures the next time around. :)

I had one of my favourite Nasi Briyani for the first day. Price went up but still tastes as awesome as I remembered it to be. One packet ayam is enough for RM9.50 is enough to feed all three of us. We did have some Ikan Bakar and Nasi Lemak as well. All of them cost less than RM20! Damn, I love Bazaars! Cheap and yummy!

However, I can't seem to find them Cekodok this year. I love those fried banana balls! D:

Cheers!

Some stuff about beer are just too fun to read.

White shores

I was never a fan of the sun but who in the whole world can resist a lovely white sandy beach with clear blue waters?

Oh how I've missed the sound of the waves crashing, wiping away all the footprints on the sand.

Don't you just wish you live by the beach? Wouldn't it be nice to be at walking distance from the beach?

Damn, I just wanna sink my feet into the sand. I wanna smell the sea. Heck, I even wanna run away from crabs.

Sucks staying at home. :/

Epic of Epicness

This is why I would endure hours in the sun standing without water and the bathroom.

MTV WORLD STAGE 2011 was the BEST Concert I've ever gone to hands down!

30 Seconds to Mars with the oh-so-gorgeous Jared Leto. Just got the adrenaline going after all the tiredness.

Tyler from Neon Trees ran past me (yes, I touched him :D)

Took a picture with VJ Utt.

Nothing else can go better? Oh wait, perhaps if I had gotten my ass on that stage! No regrets though.

I would definitely go for Neon Trees and 30 Seconds to Mars' concerts here, if they ever do come back again.

For now, I need the feeling of my legs back, thank you very much.

Creepy 101

Now here's a story.

I was sleeping in my room last night. Obviously.

I have the flu and so I can't turn on the aircond or else my nose will get all clogged up and I'll suffocate in my sleep and die. ;)

ANYWAY, I ended up sleeping on the floor right where the fan is because it was fucking hot!

Somehow, I forgot to lock my room door last night.

I was stirring around on the floor because it was really uncomfortable. I opened my eyes and saw my room door opened and a shadow standing at the doorway. You know, like how your room is all dark then the hall upstairs has the lights on and you can only see the shadow?

Fuck. My mom gave me a heart attack man!

AND a few hours before that she was adjusting the mat outside my room! I can hear the sound of the mat moving against the floor and honestly, it sounded like someone was digging a hole with a shovel outside. I got super paranoid at first because I didn't know it was the mat making the sound. Then I got up saw the mat magically moving from the slit under the door.

I never really found out that it was my mom? Its just better thinking that its her instead of something else.....

I think my life just got a few years shorter from the horror.

6 People, 1 Tiramisu?

Today's mission : Bake a Tiramisu.

Yes, we were all being very housewife-y today and decided to bake Tiramisu. So we all crashed at Kimmy's with all the ingredients.

Epic moments was when we asked Kim for the sift to sift the flour. A normal person would expect to see the big sift? This was what Kim brought out.

Kopi-O sifts! Gosh. It was so funny. But we managed to make do with it.

THEN, we needed a spatula to fold in the eggs and this was what Kim gave us.

Bloody epic moment. Somehow the mixture became like this.

Looks like Mapoh Tau Fu. No idea how it tastes though. I had to leave before it was hardened. Apparently it ain't that bad.....

So mission accomplished?

While waiting for it to be done, we decided to stalk people on Facebook. So, the true purpose of Facebook is to stalk people. Who would have guessed. Gossiping and baking.

Damn, we are turning into some Desperate Housewives. D:

Anything chocolate is good

I just made one of these!

Nutella Mug Cake. Nom nom nom~

Oh, and a cup of milk. Ah. Lovely~

Cut and Paste

For the next few days, all I will be doing at home will be cutting and pasting. My sister is getting married in November (in case you don't already know). So the little bag on the wedding dinner don't actually magically appear (who knew!).

What I'll be doing is just the "Thank You" tag that will be attached to the bag which will be holding the wedding favours.

First, it starts out as a huge piece of paper and I have to cut each one of it out.

Then I colour the borders of each of the tags with a black marker. Next, I stick these "Thank You"s at the other side.

Finally, I will cut of the stems of these little flowers..

...and stick them onto the "Thank You". They come in two colours! :D

Pink with red outlines

Red with black outlines

That's basically it but try doing 150 of them. Pretty ain't it? I don't really mind actually. I'm just sitting at the computer doing nothing anyway. Might as well do something while listening to Hitz trying to win meet and greets (Yes! I am not giving up!). I know that I don't stand a chance with 12 seconds. So I'm finding other means to get them doubt I will get them. I shall just go really early on Sunday and compensate with a good view of the stage. ;)

Today's mission : Finish cutting the tags into smaller size and blacken the borders.
